Observe The Goodness...

Hi everyone, here I am blogging... I wish to share my thoughts, experiences, studies, technical stuff and what ever pop up in my mind. However I am struggling to find a good start right now...

Today, 17th May 2011 is a very important day for all the Buddhists all over the world. We are celebrating the '2600 Buddha Jayanthi' which means 2600 years have passed from the Lord Buddha's enlightenment. Here the Srilankans do every single thing to convey their faith and devotion. Cities are decorated with flags, lanterns and bulbs in such a way that it appears like the heaven on earth at night.

What does it meant by 'The Enlightenment'? Well, I will never be profound enough to define it. One thing I know that Lord Buddha obtained the wisdom about the reality of life. That's nothing created himself but discovered something exists in nature. "Everything changes, nothing remains without change" said Buddha. Every object we capture so dearly is only a collection of decaying materials. What people call themselves is also the same. No one can control their aging and death. Then one's life itself is a temporary illusion just like a shadow come and go.

No matter the religion, no matter the nation, every one is the same. The unwise people practice jealousy, envy and hatred. No one like to suffer. Therefor we should observe the goodness during this short life time and try to make this world a better place before we are gone forever...

  5. If we remove all the labels - religion, status, class, nation...that are given to us, everyone is the same.
